Christmas in Chiang Mai

Merry Christmas from Chiang Mai!

Specifically, the incredibly delicious American-style diner and bakery, Butter is Better. Walking in feels like taking a short trip back to America, which is quite nice (and rare) in Thailand.

For Christmas dinner, we shared a chicken plate with stuffing and gravy, a muffuletta, and a big bowl of macaroni and cheese.

  1. Happy Christmas, hope it’s a blessed day! However I would argue New Orleans’ greatest contribution is beignets and Dixieland jazz. Can’t beat Preservation Hall. :-)

  2. We wish you a M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S from
Uncle John and Aunt Vivian. Your breakfast looks
delicious and we wish we could join you, if only for
just a day. May God bless you and keep you safe on
your journey. Remember Jeremiah 29:11-13. We
    love you!

  3. Merry Christmas to both of you! I have so enjoyed reading and looking at your gorgeous pictures of your travels you have posted. (I honestly think you should consider printing a book of your travels when you return home.) I shared your web site with Brad since he is not a FB friend with either of you and he really enjoyed them, too. Have a safe and wonderful New Year!

  4. I too love the cat teeshirt. And the Butter is Better looks like a 50’s diner in the good old USA – complete with good old home cookin’. We had a little snow for Christmas and we all gathered at Sue & Tom’s in Bucks County, PA. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you both. What an amazing way you two have chosen to usher out 2013 and greet the new year. Love from me & Uncle Paul.
